Supporting Habitat for Humanity
As a business we are challenged to continuously innovate, change, and grow without compromising our values. One of our values is being committed to our community in which we live and operate in. There are many ways that a business can increase its positive impact in the community, but one that has caught our attention recently at Ontario Deck Railing Ltd is how do we help those who need a place to live? It lines up with our business values of making homes beautiful and caring for others.
At the same time we also wanted to show gratitude to customers who refer us to their friends or family and what a better way to marry the two desires. In 2021 we started donating $20 to Habitat for Humanity for every customer that was referred to us, whether they ended up working with us or otherwise. The fact that someone cared to mention our small family business to someone else was good enough of a reason to make that a count towards the donation. A huge thank you to our loyal and supportive customers.
Prior to 2021 we were making donations to One Tree Planted Org (photo provided by them) which is an organisation that works with locals to plant native trees in various regions around the world to reforest the planet and was the organisation of our choice to partner with for our Refer-A-Friend Programme.
We look forward to being able to give back to our communities where we operate and live in as we grow.
